North Central Heart Performing Monthly Outreach at Brookings Health System

North Central Heart, a division of Avera Heart Hospital, now performs monthly outreach visits at Brookings Health System’s specialty outreach clinic. Cardiologists Dr. Raymond Allen and Dr. David Nagelhout alternate to see patients on the third Friday of each month.

North Central Heart’s physicians specialize in cardiovascular medicine and work with Brookings Health System to provide services such as stress tests, echocardiograms, electrocardiograms (EKGs) and cardiac rehabilitation locally for patients.

Dr. Allen attended the University of South Dakota School of Medicine and performed his internal medicine residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. He performed his residency in cardiology at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Cardiology. He has 26 years of experience as a cardiologist.

Dr. Nagelhout attended the University of South Dakota School of Medicine and performed his internal medicine residency at Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. He performed his fellowship in cardiology at St. Louis University Medical Center in St. Louis. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease. He is also a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and has practiced cardiology for 24 years.
