2014 New Year’s Baby Born at Brookings Health System

A daughter was born to Dustine Knutson and Mike Hein of Brookings on Jan. 2, making her the first baby of the New Year born at Brookings Health System.

Courtney Jane Eileen Hein arrived at 7:40 a.m. She weighed six pounds and one ounce and measured 18.5 inches long. Mother and baby are both doing well. Courtney joins older sisters Stephanie Hein and Zoe-Leah Knutson.

As the New Year’s Baby, Courtney and her parents received a variety of toys, baby products, and over $700 in cash, gift certificates and services from local businesses and organizations.
