From the Administrator's Desk

I don’t know about you, but I am ready for some nice weather. I know that the residents and staff are very eager to start planning outside activities and do some grilling in their courtyards to celebrate the nice weather. The winter months sure seemed to drag on this winter!

I have some great news that I would like to share: we are currently the only nursing facility in the State of South Dakota with a perfect 5 STAR rating in all four areas on the medicare.gov website. This has been a goal of ours for a long time and we are very excited to have reached it. Our team works very hard, and this reflects their hard work and dedication.

In closing, I want to express my gratitude to all of our wonderful volunteers who help out on a regular basis. You enrich the lives of our residents and for that we are grateful. We appreciate all that you do, and I hope that you are able to continue to support The Neighborhoods and Brookings Health System for many years to come.
