Jason Hanssen, Administrator“When the going gets tough, the tough get going.”

I think that will be our new motto at The Neighborhoods this year. COVID-19 has posed unique challenges to almost every business out there, and we are certainly no exception. Operational change has been a normality this year and our team has done an exceptional job navigating through it. I think we are all frustrated with this virus and the restrictions that it imposes upon each and every one of us. I am hoping and praying for an end to this madness, but the chance of that happening anytime soon seems to be slim to none. We are left to manage around the current situation and protect our staff and residents the best we can.

We started courtyard visits a couple months ago on our neighborhoods, and that has been going well. What a great feeling it was for our residents to be able to spend time with their loved ones again. We have also built visitation booths in our town center for the winter months so our families and residents can continue to see and visit with each other in a protected and warm setting. There will be notifications sent out to everyone when these are ready to use.

Our activities department continues to get extremely creative with the given situation and I’m sure most of you have seen those pictures on Facebook. I just shake my head when I see dinosaurs and hot dogs running down the hall way. Literally NOTHING surprises me anymore.

I want to express my sincere appreciation to all of you for walking along side us. These are truly unprecedented times and everyone needs to hold each other up to make it through them. May God bless every single one of you!

Sincerely,

Jason Hanssen, LNHA
