Aiming to Inspire Health Fundraiser & Raffle Set for Aug. 11

Hunting enthusiasts are once again invited to participate in Brookings Health System Foundation’s annual Aiming to Inspire Health fundraiser. This year’s event will be held on Aug. 11 at Brookings Gun Club and will follow a new format. The clay target tournament will include 5-Stand, singles trap, double trap and skeet stations. Brookings Health System Foundation will hold the 13th annual Aiming to Inspire Health fundraiser, presented by First Bank & Trust, on Thursday, Aug. 11 from 3 to 8 p.m. at Brookings Gun Club, rural Brookings, S.D.

Families, businesses, youths and adults are encouraged to participate. Registration is $300 for adult four-person teams and $250 for four-person teams of youth under 16. Adults and youth may also register individually. This year’s clay target tournament will follow a new format for participants. It will include 5-Stand, singles trap, double trap and skeet stations. Additional outdoor games and activities will also be available.

Registration includes ammunition. Participants will also receive a meal from Midwest Fresh Catering, sponsored by Sanford Health Brookings Clinic. Over $2,000 in prizes will be awarded. To register, please visit brookingshealth.org/AIH. Registration deadline is Friday, Aug. 5.

In conjunction with the fundraiser, Brookings Health System Foundation will also raffle a Benelli Super Black Eagle 3, 12-gauge hunting shotgun, valued at $1,800, at the conclusion of the event. The raffle is generously sponsored by Runnings of Brookings.

Only 300 raffle tickets will be sold, costing $20 each. In addition to the grand prize, a second prize will be drawn for a YETI Hopper cooler filled with hunting supplies. Proceeds from the sporting clays fundraiser and raffle will support local health care through Brookings Health System Foundation, including facility, equipment and technology upgrades; health and wellness education for our community and employees; and assistance for patients and their families.
