Brookings Health System Adds Three New Board of Trustee Members

Three community members were recently appointed to Brookings Health System’s Board of Trustees: Ann Getting, Daryl Englund and Dick Peterson.

Ann Getting is the plant manager at 3M in Brookings; she holds an industrial engineering degree from Iowa State University and has extensive experience in manufacturing leadership, production and quality. She currently serves on the South Dakota Safety Council Board of Directors and is an active participant in the Brookings Area Chamber of Commerce as well as the 3M South Dakota Community Relations Council. She previously served as the plant manager for 3M in Cynthiana, Ky. Getting fills the county-appointed position; her term will expire Jan. 1, 2017.

Daryl Englund is a consulting civil engineer and the CEO and president at Banner Associates, Inc. in Brookings. He currently serves on the Dean’s Advisory Council for SDSU’s College of Engineering. He has also served as the Chair of the City of Brookings Traffic Safety Committee and on the boards for United Retirement Center and the United Methodist Church. A graduate from SDSU, Englund has lived in Brookings for over 40 years. He fills the city-appointed position; his term will expire Jan. 1, 2017.

Dick Peterson operates State Theatre Company, which includes Brookings Cinema 5. His community service includes serving on the Planning and Zoning Board, the Board of Adjustment, the Brookings Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and the Swiftel Center Board of Directors. He has also volunteered for the Brookings Regional Humane Society. Peterson grew up in Brookings and is an SDSU graduate. He fills the city-appointed position; his term will expire Jan. 1, 2016.
