Brookings Health System Partners with KRAVE the Experience to Offer Free Massages to Delivering Mothers

  • March 13, 2012

As a part of the ongoing initiative to enhance labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum care, and in response to last Fall’s birth experience focus groups, Brookings Health System has partnered with KRAVE the Experience to offer a free massage to any mother delivering at New Beginnings Birth Center.

“We want our moms to have the best experience possible when they deliver their baby at New Beginnings Birth Center,” said Chief Nursing Officer Tammy Hillestad. “Offering a free massage creates a little extra perk for a life-changing event.”

Massages are performed in the privacy of the labor and delivery suite. Mothers decide at what point during the labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum process they wish to receive their massage; they also have the option to upgrade their massage for a fee. Fathers or partners may also purchase a massage from KRAVE the Experience at a reduced price.

In addition to a free onsite massage from Brookings Health System, mothers will also receive a complimentary KRAVE gift.

Brookings Health System provides full obstetrics services to expectant parents and enables area residents to deliver their baby close to home. For more information about Brookings Health System’s full obstetrics services, please visit www.brookingshealth.org/Ob.
