Brookings Health System Ranks in 97th Percentile of Medicare’s Quality Care Program

Information recently issued by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) ranks Brookings Health System in the 97th percentile for the Hospital Value-Based Purchasing (VBP) program, an initiative that recognizes acute-care hospitals for the quality of care they provide Medicare patients.
The ranking means Brookings Health System performs better than 97 percent of participating acute-care hospitals across the nation. The VBP program promotes consistency in care delivery with regards to clinical care, patient experience, care outcomes and efficiency.
“Our high ranking validates that our care providers consistently meet patient expectations by providing individualized care, following best clinical care practices and promoting the best possible outcomes,” said President and CEO Jason Merkley.
