Community Asked to Show Support for Brookings Health During #GivingTuesdayNow

  • April 28, 2020

Brookings Health System Foundation is asking the community to show support for Brookings Health System during #GivingTuesdayNow on May 5. #GivingTuesdayNow is a global day of giving and unity as an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19.

“We are asking our community to share with our residents and team members what is in their hearts,” said Foundation Director Sara Schneider. “People can share their generosity in a number of ways, including sharing their talents or just giving positive feedback to encourage our care providers during the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Ideas for how the community can show support include:

  • Show your love of local health care. Create heart artwork (draw, paint, sidewalk chalk, etc.) and share a photo of it on Facebook or Instagram, tagging @brookingshealth with the hashtag, #GivingTuesdayNow.
  • Leave a positive Google review for Brookings Health System to encourage health care providers and tell them how much you value their local care. Simply follow the link https://g.page/BrookingsHealth/review?rc, log in to your Google account, write your review and push post.
  • Donate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure Brookings Health maintains an adequate supply to care for our community.
  • Support the COVID-19 Response Fund through our Foundation. Funds will be used to purchase personal protective equipment and other needed supplies to care for patients and protect health care workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
