Community Flu Clinics Planned in Volga, White & Arlington

Brookings Health System will hold community flu shot clinics at the local health provider offices in Volga, White and Arlington to help protect patients from the influenza virus.

Volga Medical Clinic will offer flu vaccines from 9 to 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 25; White Medical Clinic will administer flu shots from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 26. and Arlington Medical Center will immunize patients from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2.

The CDC recommends everyone who is at least six months of age receive an annual influenza vaccination. It is especially recommended for individuals who have a high risk of developing serious complications, like pneumonia, if they become sick with the flu. This includes pregnant women, people age 65 and older and people with certain medical conditions like asthma, diabetes, or chronic lung disease.

Cost at all locations is $30 with no out-of-pocket costs for Medicare eligible patients. Walk-ins are welcomed; shots are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
