Dr. Maria Stys of Sanford Cardiovascular Institute Seeing Patients at Outreach Specialty Clinic

Cardiologist Dr. Maria Stys from Sanford Cardiovascular Institute began seeing patients at Brookings Health System’s outreach specialty clinic earlier this month. She will see patients at the clinic the first and third Wednesdays of each month; her next clinic date is Sept 2.
Dr. Stys specializes in cardiovascular medicine and has worked with Brookings Health System to provide services such as stress tests, echocardiograms, electrocardiograms (EKGs) and cardiac rehabilitation locally for patients. By seeing patients at the outreach specialty clinic, Dr. Stys’ team will be able to easily coordinate exams and testing in the same visit for patients’ convenience.
Dr. Stys attended Warsaw University Medical School. She performed her internal medicine residency and her cardiovascular disease fellowship at State University of New York at Stony Brook. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both internal medicine and cardiovascular disease. She has over 23 years of medical experience.
