Ellsworth Appointed to Brookings Health System Board of Trustees

Dr. Andrew Ellsworth, family practice physician at Avera Medical Group, was recently appointed to Brookings Health System’s Board of Trustees.
Dr. Ellsworth currently serves on Brookings Health System’s active medical staff. He is a native of Madison, S.D., and came to the Brookings community in 2012 to practice medicine. He is a graduate of the USD Sanford School of Medicine and has over six years of medical experience.
"I believe it is important to have a physician voice on the health system board and I believe in having a community hospital,” said Dr. Ellsworth. “I am excited about the changes and renovations planned for the hospital, I am pleased with the recent hospital accomplishments, and I look forward to being a part of the continued success of Brookings Health System."
In addition to his new role on the board of trustees, Dr. Ellsworth currently serves as the Vice President of the South Dakota Academy of Family Physicians. He fills a city-appointed position; his term expires Jan. 1, 2016.
