Employees Give Brookings Health System High Engagement Marks

Brookings Health System’s most recent employee engagement survey, conducted by independent research firm Integrated Healthcare Strategies, gives the health system high engagement marks from employees.

An employee engagement survey measures employees’ emotional commitment to an organization and its goals, passion and pride for their work, and willingness to go above and beyond in their work.

Brookings Health System conducted the survey this past spring with 81 percent of employees responding. According to the survey, employees rated Brookings Health System’s engagement 5.15 out of 6 points, well above the national average for health care employee engagement.

The survey identified Brookings Health System’s strengths in engaging employees, including:

  • Employees would recommend employment at Brookings Health System to their friends.
  • Employees value the relationship they have with their supervisor.
  • Employees are proud to work for Brookings Health System.

Every two years Brookings Health System measures employee engagement and uses the feedback to implement changes where possible.
