Flu Shot Clinic Set for Oct. 8 at Arlington Medical Center

  • September 26, 2013

Arlington Medical Center will hold a community flu shot clinic on Tuesday, Oct. 8 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the clinic.

“The CDC recommends that everyone who is at least six months of age receive an annual influenza vaccination,” said CNP Tonya Froehlich. “It is especially recommended for individuals who have a high risk of developing serious complications, like pneumonia, if they get sick with the flu. This includes people with certain medical conditions like asthma, diabetes, and chronic lung disease, pregnant women, and people age 65 and older.”

Cost is $25 with no out-of-pocket costs for Medicare eligible patients. Walk-ins are welcomed for the flu shot clinic. Shots are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
