Flu Shot Clinics Planned for Oct. 28 in Arlington & White

  • October 19, 2015

Arlington Medical Center and White Medical Clinic will hold their annual influenza shot clinics for their respective communities on Wednesday, Oct. 28.

White Medical Clinic will give flu shots from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Arlington Medical Center will immunize patients from 4:30 to 7 p.m.

The CDC recommends everyone who is at least six months of age receive an annual influenza vaccination. It is especially recommended for individuals who have a high risk of developing serious complications, like pneumonia, if they become sick with the flu. This includes pregnant women, people age 65 and older and people with certain medical conditions like asthma, diabetes, or chronic lung disease.

Cost at both locations is $30 with no out-of-pocket costs for Medicare eligible patients. Walk-ins are welcomed; shots are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

For more information, call Arlington Medical Center at (605) 983-3283 or White Medical Clinic at (605) 629-3333.
