Flu Shot Clinics Set for Oct. 14 and 23 at White Medical Clinic

  • October 02, 2013

White Medical Clinic will hold two community flu shot clinics at their facility. The first will be held on Monday, Oct. 14 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The second clinic will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 23 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

“The CDC recommends that everyone who is at least six months of age receive an annual influenza vaccination,” said PA Karen Bumann. “It is especially recommended for individuals who have a high risk of developing serious complications, like pneumonia, if they get sick with the flu. This includes people with certain medical conditions like asthma, diabetes, and chronic lung disease, pregnant women, and people age 65 and older.”

Cost is $25 with no out-of-pocket costs for Medicare eligible patients. Walk-ins are welcomed for the flu shot clinic. Shots are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
