Kneip Brings Optometry Specialty to Flandreau

Dr. Taylor Kneip, optometrist at Yorkshire Eye Clinic & Optical, will start seeing patients on an outreach basis at Avera Medical Group Flandreau. He is currently accepting appointments for March 25. He will then be available in Flandreau the second Wednesday of every month.
“I’m excited to bring optometric services to the Flandreau area,” says Dr. Kneip. “Vision is such an important part of our lives. Any time you notice a change in your eyes – being unable to see color accurately, having difficulty reading, blurriness or just changes with your corrective lenses – it needs to be looked at to fix the root cause.”
Kneip will be available to perform complete eye exams to assess overall eye health and visual correction needs. He will also prescribe glasses and can assist with dry eyes and foreign bodies in the eye. He also can evaluate and diagnose medical eye conditions, including cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic eye disorders, allergies and red-eye.
A South Dakota-native, Dr. Kneip received his doctorate in optometry from Midwestern University Arizona College of Optometry in Glendale, AZ. He studied pre-medicine at South Dakota State University.
