  • March 11, 2019

Brookings Health System will hold a free ostomy education session on Thursday, Mar. 28 at 7 p.m. in Brookings Hospital Conference Room A.

Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse Lisa Malone, RN, will discuss Medicare and insurance guidelines for payment of ostomy supplies and the new Hollister skin study. In addition, attendees can meet new Wound Ostomy Nurse Lindsay Hawks, RN.

The session also allows people with ostomies an opportunity to discuss day-to-day challenges and how to troubleshoot an ostomy. It also fosters intimate conversations on what works for individuals who live with an ostomy and go over normal routines.
