The MAX Performance Basketball Camp for grades one through six will be held July 23-26 from 8 to 10 a.m. at the Park & Rec Gym, 221 Main Ave., Brookings, located across from Hometown Tire & Service.

The camp will feature women’s basketball guard Jill Young. The camp is a way to introduce young players to the game of basketball and promote an active lifestyle. Youth who attend the camp will develop skills through fun drills and competitive games.

Cost to attend is $50. The first 160 children to register will receive a free SDSU basketball.

The event is sponsored by Brookings Health System. Proceeds from the camp will fund the NFL Play 60 wellness program this fall, also to be sponsored by Brookings Health System.
