Morgan Appointed to Brookings Health System Board of Trustees

Jim Morgan, retired CEO of Daktronics, was recently appointed to Brookings Health System’s Board of Trustees.

Morgan came to Brookings in 1965 to attend SDSU and is a graduate of the electrical engineering program. He worked for Daktronics for 44 years, beginning with the company when it was an upstart, and spent 13 years as the company’s CEO. He currently serves on Daktronics Board of Directors.

He has also served on the SDSU Engineering Dean’s Advisory Council, the SDSU Foundation Board of Trustees and the South East Technical Institute Foundation Board. He recently co-chaired the capital campaign for United Living Center’s renovation.

He fills a county-appointed position; his term will expire Jan. 1, 2016.
