The Neighborhoods at Brookview Administrator Honored With Leadership Award

The American College of Health Care Administrators (ACHCA) recently honored Jason Hanssen, administrator at The Neighborhoods at Brookview, with the ACHCA 2014 Eli Pick Facility Leadership Award.
Hanssen was one of 276 administrators nationally to receive the award which honors facility excellence reflected by leadership excellence as exemplified at The Neighborhoods at Brookview.
Overall quality is measured by three years of skilled nursing facility survey data including health, fire (life safety), and complaint surveys, as well as top quartile performance on designated quality measures. The facility must also meet 80 percent or greater occupancy with a three year avoidance of a Special Focus Facility status, marking The Neighborhoods at Brookview among the higher quality care facilities in the nation.
The award memorializes Eli Pick, a former member of ACHCA dedicated to advancing professionalism and leadership in long-term care.
The Neighborhoods at Brookview features 73 private rooms and three semi-private rooms for couples. The facility contains three neighborhoods, each with two households, accommodating 26 residents per neighborhood. The neighborhoods and households include kitchen and living spaces as well as private family dining rooms, spa areas and other amenities.
The nursing home offers short and long-term care to residents. The facility embraces the household model of care which aims to create a homelike, social setting for residents.
