Näva has offered laser services since the medical spa opened 2014 to remove unwanted hair and treat common skin conditions for patients. The newly purchased laser equipment allows Näva to expand their services to help reduce face redness caused by conditions like rosacea, reduce active acne, and treat spider veins.

Näva medical spa, Brookings Health System’s aesthetic medicine clinic, recently purchased new laser equipment to perform a variety of skin therapy and hair removal treatments.

“Laser skin therapy and laser hair removal are safe, FDA-approved cosmetic enhancement procedures that do not require surgery,” said Tonya Buchholz, certified nurse practitioner at Näva medical spa. “Our new equipment allows us to perform procedures with the latest technology in the industry as well as offer additional services not previously available to Näva patients.”

Näva has offered laser services since the medical spa opened 2014. Common body areas for hair removal include several parts of the face, underarms, back, shoulders, chest, legs, abdomen and bikini area.

Common conditions treated with laser skin therapy include facial wrinkles, age spots and brown spots, acne marks, pigment discolorations and scar reduction. In addition, the new laser equipment can help reduce face redness caused by conditions like rosacea, reduce active acne, and treat spider veins.

“The laser allows us to resurface and tighten the skin to reduce wrinkles and fine lines,” said Buchholz. “It also allows us to reduce the appearances of blemishes and scars for patients.”

Appointments for laser hair removal and laser skin therapy are available every Monday and Thursday at Näva medical spa. Patients may make an appointment by calling or texting (605) 695-7394.
