Newman Recognized as One of South Dakota’s Top Nurses

Mandy Newman, RN, was recognized by the American Health Council (AMC) as one of America’s best nurses and one of the top 100 nurses in South Dakota. She was also honored with the Award of Excellence.

The Award of Excellence is presented by AMC and recognizes nurses that exceed expectations in performing their duties. These nursing professionals are recognized for their admirable character, selfless dedication and outstanding effort. This helps raise the bar and generate a higher standard quality of care.

“I am extremely honored and humbled to receive this award. It truly touches my heart to be recognized for my passion of nursing and caring for patients. Honestly, I feel that this award belongs to everybody at Brookings Health System because of the hard work and dedication that everyone gives to our patients and community every day,” said Newman.

Newman was nominated for her accomplishments as a nurse, professionalism, dedication, positive attitude and compassionate bedside manner.
