Online Bill Pay Now Available for Brookings Health System Patients

Brookings Health System has added a new, secure bill pay portal to make it easier and more convenient for patients to pay their bill online. The portal can be found on the health system's website, www.brookingshealth.org or at www.securebillpay.net/brookingshealth.

"We've had several requests to add online bill pay from our patients," said Business Office Manager Duane Everding. "Patients' payments do not get lost in the mail when they use the online bill pay option. Plus, it reduces the chance for human entry error and Brookings Health System can process payments more quickly."

To provide the portal, Brookings Health System partnered with securebillpay.net, a company whose technology and security measures were already proven within the healthcare industry.

To pay online, patients simply navigate to the portal site and enter their account number, located on the paper bill they receive from Brookings Health System. No usernames or passwords are required.

After entering their account number, patients also enter the amount they wish to pay as well as their contact information and payment method. The portal accepts payment by credit card, debit card and check.

Once they have submitted their payment, patients receive an e-mail receipt confirming their payment.

Patients may also still pay their bill by returning payment through the U.S. Postal Service.
