Pediatric Cardiology Services to Start at Brookings Health’s Outreach Clinic

Pediatric Cardiologist Dr. Eric Towe, M.D., of Avera Medical Group Pediatric Specialists, will begin seeing patients at Brookings Health System’s outreach clinic. He will be available to see patients the first Monday of every-other-month starting June 6.
As a pediatric cardiologist, Dr. Towe provides heart and vascular care for children ages newborn to 18. Conditions Dr. Towe treats includes congenital heart disease, fetal cardiology, heart defects, heart murmurs, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and irregular heartbeats. He also treats arrhythmia in children as well as treating and preventing syncope in young athletes, a condition in which blood pressure leads kids to pass out.
Dr. Towe received his medical degree from the University of Missouri School of Medicine in Columbia, MO. He also performed his residency in pediatrics there. He performed his fellowship in pediatric cardiology at the Mayo School of Graduate Medicine in Rochester, MN. He is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.
