Venekamp Hired as Brookings Health System Foundation Director

Brittany Venekamp was recently hired as the director of Brookings Health System Foundation.
As the Foundation’s director, Venekamp will manage and coordinate fundraising for the Foundation, including maintaining relationships with philanthropists, corporate donors and other charitable organizations. She also will manage grant funding, implement fundraising strategies, and coordinate fund distribution to support Brookings Health System.
Venekamp holds a bachelor’s degree in consumer affairs from SDSU with a financial management emphasis. She most recently worked as the business manager for the Elkton School District. She also spent nearly ten years at Daktronics in account management, project management and sales roles.
Brookings Health System Foundation was founded in 2009 as a 501(c)3 organization separate from Brookings Health System. Gifts to the Foundation support charity health care for those less fortunate, health and wellness education, facility, equipment, and technology upgrades and other needs as they arise at Brookings Health System.
