Volunteers Needed for Future Vaccine Point of Dispensing

  • February 08, 2021

The Brookings County Pandemic Planning and Coordination Committee (PPCC) is asking for community volunteers to help with future COVID-19 vaccination point of dispensing (POD).

Medical professionals with valid licenses are needed to assist with vaccinations, medical screening, medical counseling, first aid, and observation. Volunteers without a medical background are needed to assist as greeters, form helpers, data entry, assistants for medical professionals, and roving volunteers.

Interested individuals should sign-up on the South Dakota Department of Health’s volunteer registration portal located at doh.sd.gov/COVID/Vaccine. There they can select what type of volunteer work they are seeking and answer questions about skills and experience. A link to the Department of Health’s volunteer registration portal can also be found at brookingshealth.org/Vaccine.
