Welcome Dr. Michael Holmoe!

Brookings Health System is proud to welcome Dr. Michael Holmoe, D.O., of Avera Medical Group Specialty Care to the orthopedic service team!

Originally from Flandreau, S.D., Dr. Holmoe received his medical degree from Des Moines University in Iowa and completed his residency in orthopedics at Midwestern University/Franciscan St. James Health in Chicago. He also received his bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from South Dakota State University. 

Dr. Holmoe is available to provide care to patients in all aspects of general orthopedics, including Mako robotic-arm assisted total joint replacements, joint preservation, hip arthroscopy, fracture care and sports medicine.
