White Medical Clinic Receives Deficiency Free Survey Results

  • July 08, 2014

White Medical Clinic recently received deficiency free survey results from the South Dakota Department of Health.

The survey assesses for compliance with standards for quality and safety as well as compliance with the regulations for Rural Health Clinics by the South Dakota Department of Health. In order to remain certified as a Rural Health Clinic, a clinic must demonstrate the highest quality standards set by the federal government.

“The deficiency free survey results validate that we are providing exceptional, quality care to the community. We are enabling patients to receive high quality care close to home,” said Chief Nursing Officer Tammy Hillestad. The deficiency free survey results signal that White Medical Clinic is in complete compliance with the state and federal regulations.

White Medical Clinic offers primary care, women’s health care, preventive medicine, physical exams, pediatric care, men’s health care, and Department of Transportation and commercial drivers license medical exams. Their services also include immunizations, health education and enhanced laboratory services.

The clinic is also a part of the Let’s Go!  5-2-1-0 program, helping kids and their families be more active and eat healthier. The clinic offers free 15 minute screening appointments that assess height, weight, BMI and blood pressure, and conclude with a short consultation to set a challenge goal in a 5-2-1-0 area.
