Brookings Health System’s Wound Center asks the community to participate in the fourth annual “Every Sole Deserves a Sock” drive from now through the end of February. All new pairs of socks donated during the drive will be given to The Salvation Army of Brookings to help struggling individuals and families in Brookings County.
Noelle Ira Stangle, the daughter of Carlyn and Sam Stangle of Brandt, S.D., was born at 4:26 p.m. on Jan. 1, making her the first baby of the New Year at Brookings Health System. She weighed 8 lbs., 10 oz. and measured 20.5 inches long.
