A year ago during the holiday season Brookings Health cared for its highest number of COVID-19 patients to date. Thanks to the vaccine and advancements in treatments, Brookings Hospital hasn't housed as many critically ill COVID patients at one time this fall, but the effects of the pandemic are still at play.

Brookings Health Receives NOSORH Performance Leadership Award for Fifth Consecutive Year

As part of the 2021 National Rural Health Day celebration, Brookings Health System today announced it has been recognized by The Chartis Center of Rural Health and the National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health (NOSORH) with a Performance Leadership Award in the outcomes category. The award reflects top quartile performance among all rural hospitals in the nation.

Brookings Health Upgrades to Latest Robotic Surgical Technology

This week Brookings Health System’s operating room team performed the first robotic-assisted surgery using the newly acquired da Vinci Xi surgical system.
