Biography
In my role as an occupational therapist, I work with patients primarily in the inpatient (hospital) and outpatient settings where I help people address a wide range of physical and functional goals. In the inpatient setting, I assess patients to determine how much assistance they are currently needing with everyday tasks, and I work with them toward returning to their highest level of independence before leaving the hospital. In the outpatient setting, I see patients who present with any condition (such as hand and arm injuries, CVAs, and weakness) that may affect their day-to-day living, and we collaborate throughout the treatment process to re-engage them in their chosen activities and maximize function. Regardless of the clinical setting, I enjoy working with patients to set meaningful goals and to strive for progress wherever possible.
Outside of my duties as an OT, I enjoy biking, staying active, and spending time with family and friends.
