I just think that when you go into the emergency room, that when you have a lot of allergies, that they should be aware of what they prescribe to you. Because I was sent into apathetic shock twice last week, and that's my only thing, is like looking at medical records and comparing meds with other meds when the people are on them. Okay? Thank you.

Felt rushed, took very long to get results, took a long time to get into the room, was really short staffed and was not explained very well and was told to visit doctor's office in a week if symptoms did not improve and did not give me a definite answer on what was going on.

I was very, very satisfied with the care that I got. I haven't really been there before. It's been a long time and the gal at the front desk I want to say was very amazing also. She got me right in and the nurses that I had were good and Dr. Jerstad was very good. I felt very well taken care of.

I think they did an excellent care with my husband. They treated him very, very good. They were very alert and doing everything as quickly as they could, and made us all, the whole family, feel very welcome and very more comfortable knowing that my husband, was getting the best care that he could get. We appreciate it very much, and thank you so much for letting us come in and taking care of us. Thank you.

The staff were all great, the receptionists, the nurses, the doctors. It was literally just the wait time. We knew we'd be waiting an hour for a lab, but it was roughly two hours before we were able to get out of there. And when your child isn't feeling well, the last thing you want to do is sit in a hospital for two hours. They just want to get home and rest. But other than that, the experience was great. The wait was just painful.

I wish they would have dug farther into the issues I was having as less than 24 hours or less than 48 hours later, I was in a different ER and needing to be given fluids and magnesium due to severe dehydration and I, in the Brookings ER, I was told to drink more water and put my feet up. And that was the only information I was given when I was discharged. So I think more information and more effort into what my real problems were would have been more appreciated at that time.

I think the emergency room up at the hospital in Brookings here does a very good job. They are so understanding and they just really treat you like you want to be treated. I have no complaints on the emergency room in Brookings. Thank you.

This was for my 97-year-old mother and it seemed like the test results took forever. So it would be nice if next time they could go a little faster. It was late at night and she was kind of out of it, but I do appreciate all the hard work you did. Thank you.

Hello, I just wanted to thank you all for taking such great care of my child. The doctor and nursing staff and lab techs and everyone on hand were absolutely phenomenal, particularly the nurse, and I do not remember her name, who took care of my son when he first got there. He is petrified of needles, like shaking uncontrollably, crying type, scared of needles, and she was phenomenal in explaining and just simply doing the procedure and it was over and quick and he didn't even shed a tear. I mean, it was just, it was a very positive experience for a very scary situation. So thank you guys.

When I went in, I told them I wanted to talk to or get the on-call eye doctor. And they did not do that. The doctor on call looked at my eye, said that I had a scratch in it. Well, on Monday, I went to the eye doctor and ended up in emergency detached retina on Monday afternoon. I was not very happy. They should have called in the on-call ophthalmologist.

I was very impressed with the cleanness and with the privacy in your emergency room. And the nurses and the doctor that cared for me with my bump on my head were very caring. And I was very appreciative. And I never had been to the emergency room here before because I've only lived here two months. So it was a little scary, but the whole evening was just about perfect. I really liked the emergency room doctor. He made me feel safe and very well cared for. My nurse was excellent. She had the most wonderful personality and she made sure all my needs were met. The only problem I had was with the phlebotomy. Holden did not know how to do his job. And so when I should have been four times, I think I was drawn eight attempts. So I just think that's bad. I think that if you're going to do that job, phlebotomy, you should be really good at what you do. It made the experience for blood drawing extremely negative.

I think I should have tried water irrigation of the nostril with a syringe type pressure, that I have at home. Using air was not a good choice to remove the obstruction. By that time it was pretty much dissolved and burning my throat, which is still sore to day. I am still blowing pink mucous.

The care team did perfectly. When I said that they didn't communicate with me, it was a good thing that they didn't because I was pretty scared because I had to be shocked six times here in less than four hours. And they got me taken care of to the best of their ability and air ambulance to Sioux Falls where a lot of work was done and I am now recovering and doing well. I greatly appreciate everything they did in the emergency department for me. Thank you.

I feel the doctor was telling me I had a panic attack when I knew it was not a panic attack. I don't feel that he was listening to what I was saying as far as my symptoms.

Dr said my bloodwork looked great, but when I looked at it online it was definitely not. I had high white blood cells, high monocytes, as well as blood and leukocytes in urine. All of these suggest a UTI, which was not what I was there for but still would've been helpful to know. I also could have gotten antibiotics instead of having to wait until it got worse and then go to urgent care for them. I was also anemic. I wish this information had been disclosed to me, but the dr tended to downplay everything that was going on.

Hi, I just wanted to say thank you. We received exceptional care at our emergency room visit. My son was seen very, very promptly. I appreciated the way all of the staff that we encountered took our concerns very seriously and assessed him really soon after we arrived and then got him the treatment that he needed. The doctor that we saw was phenomenal. He was so kind. His bedside manner was very warm and he did a great job of providing empathy and care but also helping to make things not feel more scary than they needed to. So he was incredible. And we absolutely would, we hope to not go back to the ER but would be comfortable doing so if needed just after having such a wonderful experience. We're grateful for that.
