I had a great experience in the Brookings ED! Everyone I came in contact with throughout my visit were kind and took the time to talk to me about everything. Thank you for all that you do!!

Get doctors that are willing to actually run tests on patients instead of assume what is wrong with a child patient.

You guys took care of me really well.

I'm very satisfied with the doctor that helped me, Dr. Happy is what I call him. And all the nurses were fantastic as well. They were able to assist me and monitor me very well. So I really do appreciate that. Thank you very much.

Always feel like the doctors at your ER don't care why you are there unless it's life threatening. I was there 2 times within 24 hours for a severely infected tooth and neither time did the doctors seem to care I needed help. If there was anywhere else to go in an emergency I definitely would.

The service was absolutely amazing. My nurse, hands down, phenomenal. All the EMT staff, all of like the people checking me in, everything were great. I really appreciate that. Everybody was kind and calm and very informative. I think my nurse, can't remember her name, hands down, deserves a raise. The doctor was great, very informative. Only thing I think that you guys could improve on with your staff is somebody like me who came in with a broken bone, teach them how to do a splint maybe a little better. I know they try with what they've got, but I had to get it redone within a day or two. But other than that, everything was wonderful.

The doctor that took care of me has taken care of me and members of my family when they were in a car accident. And I think he is absolutely wonderful and a very, very smart man. He also detected pneumonia on me before that. I had no idea I had. God bless his little soul.

From the time we got there and met with the receptionist to the time we left, I have to say hands down, that was the best experience I've ever had in the emergency room and care for my child. I was highly impressed with the speed, the courtesy, the friendliness, everything of everybody we dealt with there. So thank you very much and if somebody listens to this and you can contact the receptionist, the nurses, the lady who did the CAT scan and especially the doctor, I would like to give them a sincere thank you and that I really appreciate the way they treated us and the way they took care of my child.

The nurses were very kind and thoughtful and yeah very kind and the doctor was too.

Brookings ER is a great place to go in an emergency. Not only did they take good care of me, they also allowed my wife and I to remain in the waiting room, while a Police Officer arranged for a lock specialist to unlock our auto. We had locked our keys in the auto and the receptionist on duty was the kindest and most helpful person.

GREAT SERVICE

I brought my child to the ED to determine if she had a ligament tear of her knee. When we were brought back, no one talked to us. No one explained what was going on. A tech was going to start an IV on her without even telling her she was going to start an IV. She was just going to poke her. There was no reason to start an IV. After inquiring about it, they continued to start the IV. Both veins in both arms were missed, and ultimately, they never started an IV, and they never drew blood from her. When the doctor came in to assess her after the X-ray, he bent her knee and straightened her knee, and that was the only range of motion that was done on her knee, none of which would have determined a ligament tear. They were going to send us home without giving us more information.

They got me taken care of in a timely manner and made sure I knew everything that needed to be done for the future. And they did a tremendous job.

The emergency room doctor and the nurse were both exceptional and such a pleasure to be around.

It would help if the emergency room doctor would have also looked at my white count when I was complaining about stomach. I ended up back in the hospital on Wednesday. Thank you.

A-1 staff,nurse,and Doctor

The staff was gentle and attentive throughout my incident. Emts arrived quickly and immediately started to care for me. I was given respect and full information.

My family was able to stay in the room with me until I was discharged.

Everyone was very helpful. The wait time in the waiting room was long.

Hi, just wanted to leave a couple comments. While I did receive care at the emergency room, we just really found both myself and my dog that accompanied me. The level of urgency did not seem to be there. I was in a lot of pain. And you know, the nurses, really with the exception of the one that discharged me that night, didn't seem overly concerned at all. And while I know they deal with lots of levels of trauma, I was in a considerable amount of pain and I was just really surprised that it took them 40 minutes to get something administered to help aid in that pain. And on top of that, in that 40 minutes, no one even checked on me. My daughter went out to the hallway. It wasn't because they were overly busy.

You guys weren't worth nothing. I had to go to Sanford about my leg instead of my ankle. You guys are a bunch of idiots. Bye.

The nurses were fast and efficient, made me feel safe. Dr Jerstad has always been the most pleasant and thorough, definitely explains everything with detail and answers any questions without judgement.

I was given some Dermabond to seal my incisions instead of getting stitches and they said the Dermabond would fall off naturally in seven days. Well it didn't really work because they actually popped open three days after my visit so I just went to Walmart and bought three dollars worth of Dermabond and resealed the wounds myself period.

The emergency staff, doctor, nurses, and technicians were caring and kind. They explained everything every step of the way! We thank them for their expertise and kindness. They put us at ease and kept us informed. Thank you!

I was very impressed with how I was treated and the whole time I was in the ER room. I have been in an ER room for myself and they made it very, they made things better for me all the way through, explained everything and made it as much of a pleasurable experience as possible. I guess I felt comfortable that I was in the right place. Thank you.

The hospital experience was very good, but I must say I'm disappointed in the EMTs that dragged me down the steps in a chair and took me out to the ambulance with a skinny blanket over me. I need to, I could have, I just was not happy with the ambulance people.

I appreciate the doctor coming in when he had test results on certain test, and didn't wait until all test were completed to talk to me. Felt comfortable with diagnosis and comfortable going home.

I went to the ER because I thought that I had something in my eye. The Dr. stated that I had a significant cut on my eye, numbed it and sent me home. a few hours later I couldn't stand it any longer so i went back. He stated that he miss-read the situation and prescribed a strong pain reliever and an antibiotic eye drop. I took the pain relievers all weekend and finally got into my eye dr. on Monday. She looked at my and immediately stated that I had a piece of steel in my eye. She took it out and then had to use a roto tool to remove the rust that had developed because the piece of steel had been in my eye for 2 1/2 days. I then had to have a contact over my eye for 3 more days to protect the injured portion of my eye. Mistakes are made but unfortunately this was a very brutal time for me as the pain was constant and miserable.

The nurse and doctor were great! They even helped me find the exit after I found myself lost. Thanks for the care!

Doc J is awesome! He is such a caring person,glad he was there when I went in. Kim was a great nurse. I wasn't impressed with the lab lady not very friendly and pulled out my iv and had to put it back in after the nurse already had it in. Keep up the good work Doc!! Thank you so much for all your help that night

I thought when I came in that the nurses were very helpful, very professional, and the doctor came in right away. And they explained everything they were doing before they did it and asked me if I had any questions. I would highly recommend this emergency room to anyone. Thank you.

I went in with my six and a half month old son and we were seen immediately and I thought all the doctors and nurses were so on it. We did not sit and wonder where everyone was at all. We really appreciated like the efficiency and the explanations and everything. It was really impressive. We really enjoyed it.
