Brookings Health System

Breast Cancer Patient Champion

pink-ribbon-2.pngThanks to funds raised by the Swiftel Center’s annual Tough Enough to Wear Pink campaign, Brookings Health System makes available the services of a breast cancer patient champion. Mary Oien Reed, a breast cancer survivor, registered nurse, and trained Reach to Recovery volunteer with the American Cancer Society, is available to meet one-on-one with area women newly diagnosed or currently living with breast cancer.

Mary is available to listen, encourage, and educate. She helps women bridge the gap between the medical, emotional and personal challenges of breast cancer. In addition, she can provide information on local services and care options to assist women down their personal path.

Mary is also available to speak with group or classes to help educate and update individuals on breast cancer advancements and treatments.

For more information, or to start a conversation with Mary, call (605) 692-4432 or (515) 231-4432.
