Laser hair removal is one of the most common cosmetic procedures in the U.S. It is a safe, minimally invasive procedure that takes only minutes, even for larger sites. Hair falls out on its own with no need to individually remove each hair, making the procedure painless, effective and quick.

During laser hair removal, a laser beam passes through the skin to an individual hair follicle. The intense heat of the laser damages the hair follicle, inhibiting future hair growth.

  • Upper Back
  • Brazilian

How many laser treatments do I need?

Laser hair removal treatment sites usually require six to eight treatments. Each person is unique and a customized program will be created for your needs. While you will notice results immediately, further treatment will be required to capture new hair growth.

Hair is either in a resting or growth phase. A laser is only able to target hairs in the growth phase. As such, multiple treatments are needed to completely clear the treatment site and target all hairs during their growth phase. Most patient can have laser hair removal treatments every four to six weeks. As treatment continues, the length of time between treatments lengthens until you reach the point where you only require an annual maintenance treatment.

How long does laser hair removal last?

Laser hair removal provides long-lasting results. While some individuals may experience a 100% reduction in hair growth, most individuals see anywhere from 70 to 90% reductions. Annual maintenance visits will eliminate the last bit of hair re-growth.

What must I do after getting laser hair removal?

All laser hair removal patients need to protect their skin from the sun. Avoid direct sunlight from hitting your treated skin and do not use a tanning bed, sun lamp or any other indoor tanning equipment. In addition, avoid self-tanning lotions.
