Brookings Health System

Ultrasound

Ultrasound is a method of obtaining images from inside the human body through the use of high-frequency sound waves. We offer cardiac ultrasounds of the heart, vascular studies, OBGYN, and general ultrasound imaging. We also offer ultrasound-guided procedures.

Our ultrasound systems are completely digital and produce high-resolution pictures, creating greater detail to help physicians better diagnose and treat patients.

Hetland nurse Rachel Janes explains how a mammogram and ultrasound led her to cyst removal.

Prenatal Ultrasounds

Physicians use prenatal ultrasounds to determine the health and growth of a baby. It may also be used to determine the presence of more than one baby or a mother’s due date.

Watch & Learn
