Brookings Health System provides care to all patients regardless of their ability to pay. Even if you are uninsured or underinsured, Brookings Health System will treat you with dignity and respect. Please let us know if you think you may have problems paying your bill. Our patient financial counselors can discuss billing options, including payment plans, government programs and financial assistance.

If you need to enroll in a health insurance plan, please visit the Insurance Resources section to learn how to gain coverage.

Insurance companies and job-based health plans must provide you a short, plain language Summary of Benefits and Coverage and a Uniform Glossary of terms used in health coverage and medical care. You can ask for a copy from your health insurance company or group health plan at any time.

Brookings Health System allows patients to pay in advance for planned services, such as the birth of a baby or an elective procedure. In addition, we will setup payment plans for patients who are not able to pay their bill in full upon receipt. Refer to our Payment Plans section for more information.
