Family Nurse Practitioner Jo Gibson, DNP, will become the new primary care provider at White Medical Clinic starting on Wednesday, Sept. 9.

“I’m elated to return to and serve the White community,” said Gibson, who served as a family nurse practitioner in White for 14 years before leaving in 2012 to pursue her Doctorate of Nursing Practice at South Dakota State University. “I’m passionate about providing holistic care for patients across the lifespan.”

Gibson has 20 years of rural health care experience and is certified in childhood obesity prevention. She most recently served as faculty for SDSU’s College of Nursing and also saw patients at SDSU’s Student Health Clinic.

As a board-certified family nurse practitioner, Gibson will provide primary care, women’s health care, preventive medicine, physical exams, pediatric care and men’s health care at White Medical Clinic. The clinic will also continue to offer immunizations, health education and enhanced laboratory services.
