Only 22 spots remain for Brookings Health System Foundation’s fourth annual Aiming to Inspiring Health sporting clays fundraiser. Only 22 of 100 limited spots remain for hunting and firearm enthusiasts to participate in Brookings Health System Foundation’s fourth annual Aiming to Inspire Health sporting clays fundraiser. The event will be held Thursday, Aug. 15 from 4 to 7:30 p.m. at Medary Creek Hunt Club, rural Aurora, S.D. It is presented by First Bank & Trust.

Interested individuals are encouraged to register by the early bird deadline of July 27 for a chance to win a prize valued at $200. Openings will not be guaranteed the day of the event. Registration fees are $55 per adult or $210 per four-person team. Fees for the youth, under 16, category are $35 per individual or $130 per team. Shooters will be grouped in teams of four at the event. Individuals who do not shoot but would still like to contribute may sponsor a shooting team.

Registration fee includes a meal and ammunition. In addition, dog breeder Rod Brandenburger will provide free hunting dog demonstrations, including obedience, bird/game pointing, tracking and retriever training.

$100 Scheels gift cards will go to the top youth and adult individual shooters; a $75 Scheels gift card will be awarded to each member of the top team. Over $300 in prizes from Kjergaard Sports will be awarded to shooters who quality for the ghost clay drawing.

Proceeds from the 2013 event will help fund needed equipment for the new outreach specialty clinic at Brookings Health System’s hospital. The clinic will occupy remodeled space from the former nursing home, Brookview Manor.
