Upcoming Educational Event Featuring New and Improved Ostomy Products

Brookings Health System is hosting a free educational event discussing new and improved ostomy products on Monday, Feb. 26 from 7 to 8 p.m. in Brookings Hospital Conference Room A. Lisa Malone, certified wound ostomy nurse, will lead the event.
“I want my patients to see some of the new products available in the last five years. There have been some advancements and changes, especially for my patients that have had an ostomy for 10 or 20 years, which they might not be aware of, “said Malone.
Malone will introduce what new products are available, how they can benefit ostomy patients, alternate options for current products, different companies that carry needed supplies and information on ostomy support in the Brookings community.
Products will not be for sale at the event, but Malone will assist patients with getting any information they may need following.
Malone hopes to host an educational event every quarter, making the next one in April. The topic will be based on the feedback received from the February session.
