Aiming to Inspire Health Raises Nearly $21,000 for Local Health Care

Nearly $21,000 was raised at Brookings Health System Foundation‘s fourteenth annual Aiming to Inspire Health fundraiser on Thursday, Aug. 10. The event was held at Brookings Gun Club, rural Brookings, S.D., and presented by First Bank & Trust.

Proceeds will support local health care through Brookings Health System Foundation, including facility, equipment and technology upgrades; health and wellness education for the community and employees; and assistance for patients and their families. 

Twenty-seven teams participated at this year’s clay target tournament. Winners from the event include:

  • First Place Adult Team — 145; Sanford Health Brookings Clinic: Rod Brandenburger, Marshall Anema, Ron Koerner, Shawn Storhaug
  • First Place Adult Individual — 45; Rod Brandenburger
  • Second Place Adult Individual — 42; Kade Nelson
  • First Place Youth Team — 136; Youth Team C – Back in Motion Jackson Sebring, Sam Brandenburger, Andrew Dammen, Alexander Storhaug
  • First Place Youth Individual — 44; Jackson Sebring
  • Second Place Youth Individual — 38, Sam Brandenburger
  • Drawing, Team — AAA Collection
  • Drawing, Individual — J.R. Nuttbrock
  • Ghost Clay Drawing — Robert Kurtz
  • Top Individual Score on random station – Ryan Johnson
  • Lowest Individual Score — Myers Owens
  • Early Bird Drawing — Mechanical Jacks

Grand prize winner of the Aiming to Inspire Health raffle was Mike Sayegh. Sayegh won a Benelli Super Black Eagle 3, 12-gauge hunting shotgun sponsored by Runnings of Brookings. Second Prize winner was Nick Gerjets. Gerjets won a pair of Vortex binoculars sponsored by Kjergaard Sports.
