Our Brookings OB unit helps parents-to-be from across our community in this life-changing moment. Our obstetrics team’s care philosophy includes letting parents choose the birth experience they want, embracing the female body’s natural ability to give birth, and supporting mothers and babies in all aspects of breastfeeding.

2027 Clinical Enrichment Internship Program Now Open for Nursing Students
Brookings Health System has partnered again with the South Dakota Board of Nursing to offer a clinical enrichment program for nursing students. Applications for the paid summer internship are being accepted now until Oct. 15 at brookingshealth.org/CEP.
Third Annual Diaper Drive to Help Area Families Who Face Diaper Need
New Beginnings Birth Center will hold a third annual diaper drive during National Diaper Need Awareness Week, Sept. 14 – 20. The donated diapers and wipes will be given to the Harvest Table and the Brookings Area United Way to help area families who face diaper need.

Registration is now open for the Childbirth Support Specialists Birth and Postpartum Doula workshop scheduled for May 16 and 17 at Brookings Health System.
