Our Brookings OB unit helps parents-to-be from across our community in this life-changing moment. Our obstetrics team’s care philosophy includes letting parents choose the birth experience they want, embracing the female body’s natural ability to give birth, and supporting mothers and babies in all aspects of breastfeeding.

New Year’s Baby Arrives Right on Time at Brookings Health
Noelle Ira Stangle, the daughter of Carlyn and Sam Stangle of Brandt, S.D., was born at 4:26 p.m. on Jan. 1, making her the first baby of the New Year at Brookings Health System. She weighed 8 lbs., 10 oz. and measured 20.5 inches long.
