Lynn Darnall, owner of Medary Acres Greenhouse Inc., was recently appointed to Brookings Health System’s Board of Trustees.

“I'm excited and honored to be appointed to the [Brookings Health System] board of trustees.  I believe that our community will remain vibrant and progressive with not only a local health system, but one that is as top notch and honored as our system.  As a lifelong citizen of Brookings, it is fantastic to see how far our hospital has come and all the good it does for our community.  I'm looking forward to being a part of where it goes in the future,” said Darnall.

As a Brookings native, Darnall was a founding member of the Boys & Girls Club of Brookings, Moody County and Yankton. She was appointed to the South Dakota Real Estate Commission in 1990 by Governor George Mickelson and served until 2001. She currently sits on the corporate board for the Boys & Girls Club and the Convention Visitors Bureau Board.

Darnall is a graduate of South Dakota State University’s political science and economics program. She has an extensive background in retail business and volunteerism.

Darnall fills a city-appointed position; her term will expire Jan. 1, 2020.
