Elm_Pine_Winter_2017_2.jpgThis winter was all about family, football and eggnog in the Elm Pass and Pine Trail Neighborhood.

In October, the residents tailgated for the SDSU Jackrabbits’ Hobo Day game by making “hobo burger” meals for lunch. They washed, peeled, and chopped the vegetables and formed the burgerpatties for the grill-out. The meals were a touchdown!

In November, the residents enjoyed having many friends and family gather for an excellent Thanksgiving feast. This meal is always well attended and a highlight of the year for both residents and staff.

In December, the residents and staff enjoyed the annual Neighborhood Christmas party. We all gathered for laughs and good cheer with lots of food, gifts under the tree and Santa Claus falling down the chimney. As Christmas and the New Year quickly approached, residents, family and staff members gathered around the fire to drink hot cocoa and eggnog. Residents spent their time playing bingo, card games and visiting with family. Let’s bring in a great New Year!
