Elm Pass and Pine Trail Happenings

Just imagine, turning 103 years old and getting to ride in an ice cream truck! Well that’s what happened this past month to Elm Pass resident Irene Groon. In previous conversations, Irene stated that in all her years she had never received ice cream from an ice cream truck—not a true statement anymore! 

Thanks to two great gals, Jessie Kuechenmeister and Suzy Gehring, Irene’s wish came true on her 103 birthday! Irene rode the halls of The Neighborhoods in the ice cream “truck” handing out treats to fellow residents and staff! What a memorable experience; so much fun was had by all. 

Our residents enjoy the outdoors and like getting outside as much as possible. Gardening and fishing were a big hit this month.
