Flu Shot Clinic Set for Oct. 28 at Volga Medical Clinic

Volga Medical Clinic will hold its community flu shot clinic on Wednesday, Oct. 28 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the clinic.

The CDC recommends everyone who is at least six months of age receive an annual influenza vaccination. It is especially recommended for individuals who have a high risk of developing serious complications, like pneumonia, if they become sick with the flu. This includes pregnant women, people age 65 and older and people with certain medical conditions like asthma, diabetes, or chronic lung disease.

Cost is $30 with no out-of-pocket costs for Medicare eligible patients. Walk-ins are welcomed for the flu shot clinic. Shots are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
