Linder Selected for Inspiring Health Sponsorship

Brookings Health System awarded an Inspiring Health Sponsorship to recent post-secondary graduate Shelbi Linder.
The Inspiring Health Sponsorship Program provides financial resources for students who commit to a professional career at Brookings Health System. The sponsorship is a loan forgiveness program that forgives the sponsorship amount over a three-year period. Applicants must currently be enrolled in an accredited health occupation program and in good academic standing.
Linder graduated this July from Southeast Technical College in Sioux Falls with an associate’s degree in surgical technology. She will work as a surgical technologist at Brookings Health’s operating room. Her duties will include helping to prep the patient and the operating room as well as passing instruments and equipment to surgeons during procedures. She previously worked as a sterile processing technician at Yankton Medical Clinic.
