Brookings Health System recently upgraded the facility's MRI software to enable patients to receive rapid, more detailed MRI scans.

The technology investment helps claustrophobic patients make it through MRI exams more quickly. Because the software increases imaging speed, routine patient exams are shortened to an average of 10 minutes.

Besides increasing speed, the new software also enhances image quality, enabling physicians to better diagnose patients.

Health professionals use MRI technology to provide safe and noninvasive images of the human anatomy. It helps improve the diagnosis of a wide range of conditions such as vascular disease, brain disorders, stroke, musculoskeletal conditions in joints and orthopedic injuries.

With this latest upgrade, Brookings Health System patients continue to receive the best-in-class care, combining the newest technology with personalized, attentive treatment.
