Summer Fun from Oak Lane and Birch Way

It still feels like summer here on Oak and Birch. In September we were still enjoying the nice weather on our patio. We have enjoyed eating meals, looking at the flowers, and enjoying the sunshine. It is a great place to spend some time with our family and friends. 

On Aug. 1 we were able to have a baby shower for staff member, Sara. A baby cake wasmade out of diapers, socks and toys. Staff helped each resident to provide a gift for the shower. 

We played some games such as nursery rhymes and pick the date. Avis L. picked the closest date of Sept. 6. A baby boy, Logan,was born Sept 7 at 10 lbs, 7 oz and 22 ½ inches long. Congrats to Sara and Andrew on the birth of Logan!

This fall we have also enjoyed eating some state fair type of foods courtesy of the dietary department. We have had corn dogs, French fries, and funnel cakes all made in the same manner as you would find at the state fair.
