The overnight staff were not careful to keep their conversations muted nor confined to the nurses station so patients (me) could sleep uninterrupted.

As a daughter of the patient, Mother received extraordinary care at the Brookings, SD hospital. The employees are exceptional, and our family is grateful to the (unreadable) Health System and the WONDERFUL employees! Thank you very much.

Shower was broken - had issue due to shower door leak and was taped with medical tape - had no water halfway through. Nurses didn?t know how to access my port - had 3 nurses question & tried before getting help. Dr.'s didn?t communicate between each other so one would say one thing then next would be opposite.

The water is COLD! 9 days in the hospital & had on cold shower. Didn't take another because the water never warmed up when I was there!

It was definitely an emergency I received quick efficient medical care. Much valuable information was provided regarding my lab. Reports and much information regarding the type of liquid I should drink. Doctors PA spent very valuable time with me and valuable information was provided by him.

I received excellent care from the time I arrived in ER until discharge the next day. The ER staff was efficient and knowledgeable. The nursing staff on the floor were caring and professional. The Dr was excellent also.

In retrospect, I see that there was confusion between Brookings and Aurora NCH?should I be transferred to NCH or not? Discharged? No one knew. During this period we were not kept informed of anything and that was extremely frustrating. We should have at least been told 'We don't know Dr. Chaudhry was extremely helpful in recommending Avera St. Luke's in Aberdeen and I think making the initial contact there.

My last night of stay in Brookings Health was the worse care I have ever received in any hospital. The nurse was rude, was 2 1/2 hrs into her shift till I saw any nurse, requested my meds + finally received them at 12:30 am. The worst!! Will request next hospital stay to Sioux Falls SD.
